The big challenge for Tiger Woods – 18 Majors?
Tiger has now won 13 majors after his last success this past weekend.
Most want him to better the record of 18 set by Jack Nicklaus.
But……do you think it´s relevant/fair?
I mean, golf today is so much more competitive with many many more professionals competing at a very high level.
Do you think it´s fair to compare what Nicklaus did a couple of decades ago to what Tiger is doing today?
Hey Jack is my claim to fame. As a little boy I once picked up and returned his balls to him while he was practising for the Open Championship. Until the R&A Official told me I was “talking too much” and that Mr Nicklaus “charges $100 for a lesson.” I got his autograph on one of the balls and we had a great laugh with him asking him “when was he going to take out his Driver” when he was using it.
I believe Tiger will surpass his Major record and it will be regarded as a better feat since only really Palmer,Player and Trevino were real challenges to Jack in those days. Today the youngsters are so good almost anyone can win it. But for me the best to watch was Seve-especially in the Ryder Cup.
