What to do for Summer fun?
So me and my boyfriend are looking to do stuff differently this summer! We want to take up different things that are with nature, and active. He plays bball and track, so he is a lot more in shape than me! I water, and snow skii A LOT, train horses, and do a lot of haying, on which we live on a small farm. But anyway, we took up golfing, and fishing. Im trying to get him to do beginner ball room dance, and some salsa type stuff… and maybe biking and hiking! We’re just looking to do something out of the ordinary for 17 year old teenagers! We live in Portland Or, so if you know anything around let me know what ya think! Thanks! 
Absolutely try salsa dancing. If there is a university around you they most likely have a dance club or even a salsa club. Personally i would stay away from anything that says Ballroom Salsa or Ballroom Mambo. These are very rigid, kinda strict dances that require a lot of dedication and focus on technique. All they focus on is choreographing routines.
What you want to find is what some call Social Style Salsa. This is much more relaxed, more interesting, better moves, and more fun. You will be learning how to lead and follow which means they aren’t choreographed routines – its more like a conversation. So find a club that offers salsa nights – even though you are underage, some clubs offer All-Ages Salsa Nights. You’ll have to do a little research but its well worth it. good luck!
