Better Golf
If you've just started learning or have been playing golf for years, one of the most important things to master is the remote control. Especially for Golfers just started in the game, knowing what club to hit and when it is mainly about your own game, and a little sense. It is a skill that is essential to being a good golfer – and fortunately, one that is relatively easy to learn.
The first step is to understand a basic concept, and accepting – your swing speed, and the pace should be the same for all clubs, regardless of how far you need to hit the ball! Many beginners this is difficult to begin with, but what really is the key to controlling distance and proper club selection. The club is what makes the work loft in the longer clubs – not a minor head club which creates a low trajectory shot now, and additional physical length of the club creates a higher impact speed. The reverse is the case with shorter clubs.
Once you know this, you can begin to integrate it into their game. The next time you are practicing at the range, take half iron, such as a 7 or 8, and hit 20 or 30 balls. Try to make a smooth swing that is the same every time. You should find that whenever you make good contact, distance, the ball is always within a yard range 5-10. Calculate the average distance of these vaccines, and now has his distance for that club.
Normally, you can add or subtract 10-15 meters for each club more or less long. That is, if you hit a 8 iron from 150 yards, 7 iron should go from 160 to 165 yards. As you practice more, you can refine these distances and reach to know the exact distance for each club.
With this new vision of your game, you choose the right club every time they introduced a approach shot. Just remember – maintain a constant speed and its distance learning! So when your goal, you can concentrate on hitting the ball well, instead of how difficult you need to swing. Trust your swing and let the club do the work! If you can get to this stage, we fine as it consistently hitting greens in regulation, and should also find out that you will start hitting the ball much more consistently.
To improve your game even more though, you have to start to get exact distances while in the course. There are a couple of things you can do to make this happen – GPS devices are one way, and Rangefinders Lasers are another. You can also use the brands of course but there will be a level of guess work involved if not right on the mark. Either these methods work, just make sure you know the exact distance to the pin before you choose a club and take the shot – do not guess!
Of course, there are some other things to consider when choosing a club – the wind conditions, which ball you are using and if the pin is higher or lower than the soil is of foot in all are important factors. You will learn to judge these in time, but the basic rules are that the ball travel more with a tail wind or if the PIN is low, and back for a PIN or high wind.
Start putting these tips into your game and I assure you, you will control the distance you've always wanted at any time and your friends will wonder how you will manage to hit the greens so consistently!
