Also consider Domingos Martins, in the State of Espírito Santo. Although it is in the mountains, it affords intimacy, beautiful scenery, a large hotel built like an Alpine chalet, cooler nights, and pleasant, friendly people. It is an hour’s drive (car or bus) from the Atlantic coast, where fishing, including deep-sea fishing, has been a major part of the econoomy. There are no golf courses in Domingos Martins, but they cannot be far away.
