Golf Courses Chicago North Suburbs

A tough decision to make……………………?
I am 33 y/o I will be 34 in Mach 2008. I am single with no children. I am self-employed( I work from home) and generate a nice income. I currently reside in Chicao with a very high cost of living. For ex. for $400K you can buy a 2br apartment without parking………He’s my problem………….I would like to move to Dallas,Texas(North suburb to be exact) becaue I can purchase a 5 br/4 1/2 bath/3 car gagare for around $265K. I have already seen home like this in gated communities that are complete with a golf course. Do I move and start my business over, which would take me about 3 years to hit my current income level or should i just stay in Chicago and not relocate?
If I do relocate it would be towards the end of next year(2008)
SIDENOTE: I need good advice,Please no answers about “follow your heart”
Can you take a month off & go to Texas to see if you could really live there? Visiting a place is alot different than living there. I moved to a state where things are alot cheaper, so did alot of people but most hate it & wish they could go back home. But they sold their houses & gave up their jobs are are stuck here. I happen to LOVE it because I left alot of aggravation. Don’t do something that you can’t change your mind. Try renting for a while
