What advice can you give a new player to play golf and what clubs to buy.?

I've only played golf twice and never had a lesson. I have no idea what I'm doing. I love the atmosphere and the challenge it presents the game, but I need help. I usually can play the ball very straight, but I tend to lose a lot of changes. Nor do I hit the ball flush does not make my blow to go far. My putting is horrible. The first time I played I shot 115 to through 10 holes and the next time I went I shot 95-13 holes. I'm using some old clubs I borrowed and I would buy some new ones that are cheap. Any help is appreciated.

Peronsally Well I think you should take private lessons from a guy I know karchinski name that is totally awesome. If this is not possible maybe ask your wife to show you I heard it's a big player and she is very hot.
