Where would the best place to get lessons golf swing improvement?

I've been playing golf for about 3 years and have returned. I can not hit my irons at all. Or hit me fat or very badly handled. I plan to go to Golf-Tec, or my golf course to seek out a professional. I also thought teachers and online. Finally, I thought about buying videos. Any ideas?
