Golf Rules Made Easy

I need a golf ruling…..?
I was playing with this kid yesterday and he was in a bunker. he put his foot behind the ball, pushed into the sand and made a line, i guess so he could get the ball out of the bunker easier, i don’t think this is legal, is it?
Both you and your buddy had better read the rules and then abide by them.. Rule 13 states the player will play the ball as it lies. There is a penalty of 2 strokes in stroke play for his infraction and loss of hole in match play. The manner in which he marked a line behind the ball is proper for practicing bunker shots. This is a good way in determining the amount of sand which has to be displaced for the distance you desire to carry.

Golf Rules Plain & Simple $1.79 As befitting a royal and ancient game, golf’s rules are complicated and often confusing. On the PGA Tour, players have tournament officials to help keep them on their toes. Those not fortunate enough to be on the Tour are left to the mercy of the official Rules of Golf–a fine book, but somewhat bogged down in legalese. To remedy this situation, veteran golf writer John Andrisani teamed up with PG… |
