Putting some aftermarket shafts into my golf clubs, good sets ups?
Putting an Aldila Voodoo XVS7 into my driver, Aldila Voodoo XVS8 into my 3 wood, and Aldila Voodoo XVS9 into my rescue 3.
My swing speed is 108-114mph, so I know the stiffness is not a factor (according to Aldila). All the shafts are tour issued and from the tour van. I just want to know if I am going a bit heavy on the weights?
It sounds like your weights are good as far as 70g in driver, 80g in 3-wood, and 90g in hybrid…they should increase to match the extra clubhead weight. The thing that really determines what weights are right is how fast your transition is. Swinging anything over 110 usually means you probably have a medium to fast transition so the extra weight will keep you from “throwing it around” from the top.
I’ve got 80g in my driver and 13* hybrid, and 100g in my 17* swing speed mid 120′s
