Golf Schools in South West (CA, AZ, NV, TX) U.S.?

Im a handicap 4 junior in high school (junior rhetoric) that receives very good grades, 4.25 GPA, and hopes to play golf in college. I think I have a great opportunity to get in a D1 team mediocore because I do not do the AJGA, only SCPGA local (1 win, 5 top 3's). So I wonder, what decent golf schools in California, Arizona, Nevada, or Texas area have a solid academic training and leading a team of solid golf. Somewhere along the lines of the University of California at San Diego, would preferable. I was thinking about Pepperdine and Arizona, but I'm finding other schools, especially in Arizona and Texas, because I've searched quite all of California (UCLA too).

That does not mean they do not attract a D1 school. With his academic background can be drawn into any school and get an academic scholarship and walking on the golf team and win a scholarship. You can also write a letter to a number of golf coaches expressing interest in attending school. Tiger Woods wrote a letter to the Stanford coach and guess where he ended up playing golf in college? Not the best example because everyone knew about the capabilities of Tiger. Arizona Arizona State, UNLV, Pepperdine and possibilities.
